Fueling progress with the Power of Gases
Established in 1950 as a branch of the African Oxygen and Acetylene Company (AFROX) of South Africa, TOL Gases Ltd., formerly known as Tanzania Oxygen Limited, has a rich history of serving the region's industrial needs. Ownership transitioned in 1968 when it became part of the esteemed British Oxygen Company (BOC).
In 1998, we marked a significant milestone with the acquisition and erection of an ASU plant in Dar es Salaam, boasting a production capacity of 31 tonnes per day. Concurrently, we inaugurated CO2 plants in Kyejo (Mbeya), with a capacity of half a tonne per hour. Our commitment to expansion and innovation continued in 2014 with the installation of another CO2 plant in Ikama (Mbeya), capable of producing 2 tonnes per hour. This strategic investment has propelled our total production output to an impressive 2.8 tonnes per hour.
At TOL Gases Ltd., we place utmost importance on the quality of our products and their impact on the environment. We have implemented rigorous pollution-free environmental activities and policies to ensure that the air surrounding us remains pristine, reflecting our dedication to sustainable practices and community well-being.
